Helping Animal Shelters
A couple years after I lost my furry baby to cancer, I drove past an adoption event and found my Miss Belle. At the time I had no intention of adopting another dog but I saw this very sad face and had to say hello. She was in desperate need of a bath and a haircut but she had just been spayed, so I had to wait 10 days for her to heal before I took her for her first visit to the salon. Over a very short period of time we fell in love and we are now inseparable. I have become so grateful to have her rescue me, that I decided I needed to help shelter pets.
Since all I did was cry as a volunteer, I decided to help in other ways. Now, I make handknitted scarves for ladies and matching scarves for their pets. In addition, I make the best ever chocolate chip pumpkin bread and dog shaped pumpkin bones (for people).
40% of all sales go towards helping the local non-kill shelter pets with food, bedding, blankets and toys, until they find their forever home. Miss Belle and I go shopping together and deliver the supplies to local shelters once a month.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help and we thank you for your support!
